Expanding Horizons Educational Field Trip Program

Program Schedule
  • One Saturday per month, November- April
Meeting Location:
  • The Atlanta Hawks Reading and Learning Zone and the Cabela's Learning Dock, both located at the Roberts School Community and Education Center
Transportation:
  • Cobb County Schools and Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resources Department Bus and Van
Program Demographics:
  • Number of participants: 75
  • Grades: 4th- 12th
  • Schools: Acworth Intermediate, Barber Middle School, Awtrey Middle School, and North Cobb High School

Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program

Vision: To create a positive and supportive environment for local youth.

Mission: Provide educational assistance, recreational activities, mentorship and foster servant-leadership.

Achievers Spring Break in Boston, MA.


The Expanding Horizons and Acworth Achievers programs have selected participants for an all expense paid trip to Boston, Massachusetts. The group will be taking a four day trip that will consist of historical tours as well as new and innovative tours of the city. The participants will enjoy tours of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Laboratory and Museum, the Museum of Science, and Plimoth Plantation. They will also have an opportunity to visit Salem and enjoy the Salem Witch Museum. We cannot wait to explore the great city of Boston!
